Notes

  • Drivers were: Dan Isles, James Alington, Ben Miller, Gareth Barnaby, Alex Ward, Dan Dando
  • I have downloaded the performance data from the CarConputer.
  • Apart from the dodgy speed sensor the resulting data looks good.
  • It clearly shows that Gareth did not slow down for the chicane on the first lap as I said the drivers should do ! (Dan Isles was spot on)
  • It looks like it shows the puncture throughout Gareths stage. It doesn't look like it affected Ben's stage much.
  • We can see Battery pack 1 falling heavily off in voltage at the end of the race. Battery pack 0 looked in much better condition ...
  • The battery charge level calculations seems about right for the good battery pack.
  • You can see the increased current taken going up the hill/into the wind and the less current on the downward stretch before the chicane.
  • When the speed sensor was working it shows that the carComputer was just starting to limit the motor speed as it was designed to do.
  • There were no data glitches or computer dropouts at all.
  • We were averaging close to 25Amps and had the gearing for the car just about spot on. I think we need to look at the aerodynamics of the car ...
